☛ Technical information for preparing the graphics

What will we need to send the offer?

Create the graphics in vector version and attach them to the form (see menu opposite).

This will help us develop a correct offer having already seen the work to be carried out.

We will then discuss whether and what changes to make and how to proceed.

Where to start from?

You can download the empty layout from this website (see menu opposite), which represents the block bottom bag opened. It highlights the chosen dimensions of the front, open gusset and length in millimetres.

If you have chosen a paper bag with a window, you can add windows in the desired shape (see instructions below).

In all layouts you will see the part of material used for the longitudinal sealing of the bag at the overlap point and the part of material used to create the bottom of the bag.

On this layout you can develop your creativity!

What colors can you use?

Technically all the colors of the pantone scale in flat color or four-colour or four-colour combined with other pantones.

Always remember that adding different pantones from our standards has a higher final cost for the customer! Our spot colors available are visible in "Download our standard pantones".

It is possible to use the indicated colors at 100% and/or their screens.

☛   See "Standard colors"

How many colors can you use?

There are no color limits! Obviously white is a color! Remember that inks are by their nature transparent so if you print on a support that is also transparent, the white background is needed to give coverage.

Can the shape of the windows, in case of paper bags with windows, be customized?

Yes, absolutely, only within certain technical limits that you will share with the contact person you deal with. As a general rule, sharp edges in shapes and openings that are too large should be avoided.

Difference in printing on transparent film or paper?

When printing on transparent film, the main caveat is to consider the white background.

When we print on paper, however, you should remember that if the paper is brown, some pantone colors could be slightly spoiled by the brown base itself. We are available to discuss the best solution based on our experience.

Is it possible to have a matte effect?

Yes. It is possible to go for registered matting or for materials that are naturally matt.

What type of paper can you choose?

Brown paper, ribbed brown paper, white paper. No impact on the price.

Video graphics and print – what are the differences?

When working on a PC, each color can be created with four-colour process. However, to best print on flexible film, you will sometimes be advised of some necessary changes. Therefore, working in flexo, not every part of the graphics can be reproduced with four-colour!

Some simple examples:

  • small text in colors other than black or white is not feasible with CMYK
  • for solid backgrounds it is preferable to identify a pantone and not use CMYK

What affects the price?

In general the number of colours, the presence of pantones and, above all, coverage (particularly when it comes to printing on paper).

How do you have to manage the technical aspects related to the bag’s creation??

You don't have to worry about technical aspects such as:
centering of the print on the back due to the presence of the overlap of material to manage the sealing of the bag

  • management and control of excesses and tolerances
  • checking the consistency of the measurements

Our graphic designer will take care of everything; we will always send you the final version before printing anything!

We just remind you that any graphics that you insert in the "cavalca" and "risvolto" area will not be visible in the finished bag. If so, we will let you know.

What do we NOT check??

It is not possible for us to verify the contents, barcodes, telephone numbers, emails, ingredients, etc..

Can you handle a test print?

Yes, it is possible to have a prototype at a cost of €150 + VAT.

Some clarifications on materials

Transparent bag: it is always made with heat-sealable polypropylene for food contact.

Paper bag with window: it is always made with external paper entirely coupled with heat-sealable polypropylene for food contact.
